Welcome to The Diabetic Cookbook!
I first of all want to thank a good friend of mine for giving me this idea and
having diabetics in my family that inspired me to make this website for diabetics
who need great recipes they can enjoy as well as share with others. Although it’s
impossible (at least right now) for me too cook and approve of every meal on this
website. I think that the majority of the foods you’ll find on this website will
be good enough to share with your friends and family and they will never even
know that it is a diabetic meal.
Here’s a brief bit of history about this website and how/why it was created.
I was over at a friends house for a good portion of the day, playing games and
eating food and watching football. I told him I was hungry and he brought up
that he was starting to eat diabetic meals because his blood sugar was acting up
so much at the time. If you’re like he is and upset that you can’t eat chocolate
chip cookies anymore like he was, you’ll know how hard it is to stay away from
those sugary, delicious foods that you’ve been eating. I heard him complain all
the time about nasty sugar free foods. I even tried a few things but I’ve never
enjoyed eating anything with a cardboard flavor. Needless to say, he was always
searching for things he could make that tasted better than the store bought sugar
free (safe for diabetics) kind of foods. He took his searching online and that’s
where I came in to save the day. I hit the jackpot and found over 500 delicious
diabetic recipes, made my purchase, went over to his place the next day and asked
him if any of the food on the menu looked good and he was amazed. So the cooking
began. He likes chicken a lot so the first meal that he made for himself was the
BBQ chicken recipe. He was so excited to have a HUGE list of food that he knew he
could eat and wouldn’t affect his blood sugar levels. The recipes are good and
they even have dessert to get your (diabetic safe) sweet tooth on.
So how much will this cost you? Nothing. I've made this cookbook available for you
to start using right now.
These recipes are delicious and mostly pretty easy to make. Hope you enjoy them!
